Indeed, Simon. The number of people having to decide between heating and eating is enormous. Far more than a so-called developed nation should stand for.

I'm glad that I still manage to live in somewhat cold environments... I rarely had any heating on last winter. The de-humidifier helps massively - don't know how I would manage without it these days. (Helps to get washing dry in winter, too.)
Still, I've been warned that I can expect the electricity bill to rise by at least £50.
