I read this...
Jessiebean wrote:"ullo luv, wot're you wearing?"
...and thought, that's exactly what we need, an Ish fashion thread with pics of us in our gladdest rags.

To kick it off...

The under-gardener's in-bred assistant look.

The I'm-too-thick-to-be-somewhere-warm look.

Note the careful use of accessories.

Who's next?

note the love hearts on the Briers boots- also the plastic bag peeping out as I had to wrap my feet in bags 'cos the wellies were damp. I have daisies on the back of the Gardening gloves but I feel what makes this outfit is the sledgehammer.

How to change your look just by careful change of accessories, all whilst attacking the dead stuff in an overgrown pampas grass.
Hmmm what colour gloves shall I wear first?

Mothhole in OH's old jumper is just about visible where my thumb is. Note nice scratch on face for added impact.

We're clearly trend-setting fashionistas—or should that be fashionishers? When do we get our own TV makeover series?

I'll just send a quick email to Anna Wintour then I expect we'll all see gloves, wellies, boiler suits and tools on the Milan catwalk next year.

Don't forget the plastic bag lining for wellies. It's so now.

See MMM you don't look even slightly like Dame Edna.. not even if you were wearing a lovely frock!

Sadly the boiler suit look reminds of that vile trend of late -Jumpsuits *shudder* there is no reason for any grown woman to wear a jumpsuit in the name of fashion.
My mother took to wearing a pink boiler suit with no sleeves in her radical feminist days in the eighties. It went with her red cropped hair with blond ratstail.
We had better organise who gets to wear the Navy overalls- my husband would be embarrassed if he turned up at a do wearing the same outfit as someone else!

From my spam filter this morning...

"Start earning the salary you deserve by obtaining a qualification in fashion. The fashion industry has high income generating potential."

Word is clearly getting around about Isher's trend-setting looks!

generally a vest top and skirt combo (me and sister in law, start of this month)

but mostly a vest top and cropped trousers affair. i have a sort of muddy khaki pair which are fab for gardening, black for going out and white for looking snazzy lol. oh and if you're wondering, the headscarf is cos i had really greasy hair and coulndt be bothered to wash it just to go out to the park.

I firmly believe this is valid and "Ish-y" I am wearing a fetching fluffy pink hat right now for the same reason (and it is ##$@!& cold in here right now)and I have a variety of broad Alice band style headbands to cover the greasy roots.Sometimes I rub cornstarch into the greasiest bits and brush it out but it tends to leave the scalp a bit white... then I go back to a hat or head band to cover that up.
I have lots of hair and don't want to wash it all the time.
Saves on shampoo, water, time, electricity (if blowdrying) and gives an otherwise ordinary outfit a certain je ne sais quois I am sure you will agree.
