Moving to Wales...
...in May, where´s a SSish APish mama and her babes to meet friends and have fun? Looking for groups and events to get involved with. Mid-Wales, near Machynlleth in particular.
TIA Clara ♥

Re: Moving to Wales...
Hello
I'm a big fan of the Quarry cafe and health food shop next door in machynlleth, owned by CAT. I like their veggie food and they have a notice board with loads of local goings on and I think I've had a free paper from there before with local groups, walks, family events in the woods etc.

Re: Moving to Wales...
Yay!!! I remember you talking about moving to Wales quite a while back........brilliant!
To be honest, I think you may be surprised - there are a lot of similar types in that neck of the woods, so you shouldn't have any problems settling in at all.

I took my dog to play frisbee. She was useless. I think I need a flatter dog.

And you're just across the water from us too, so give us a wave Clara!
I hope we get the summer that we're being promised, it will make all the difference to you - and to the girls!
Good luck with the move xx

Las Alpujarras to Machynlleth. Well, you'll notice a change in precipitation, certainly.
That area is Ish heaven, Clara - you'll love it (once you get used to the rain).
Best of luck with the move
Mike
PS - your original question. Forgot to say - you'll fall over like-minded people in the street.

Hope the move goes smoothly Clara.
My Grandmother does not live to far from that area. When we have visited her in the past we have walked up here

You can find it under the blue lake at Fairbourne.
Look forward to hearing all about your adventures.

We are kind of going the other way....a short sabbatical on-grid with a garden rather than a mountain-side, be good for us to regroup after a hard winter....starting looking at wrecked farmhouses alreadytwinks wrote:hi there, not sure where that is in relation to where we have just moved to, but i have just moved to llanymynech, (on the wales-england border) from central birmingham and am absolutly loving it! the girls love it and so does the dog so much space and fresh air, i have gone from nothing to chicken owning, wine making, log burning, bread making, vege growing in little over a month and loving every second!! im yet to make many like minded friends here but then again im never out anywhere i just spend my time pottering round the house and garden.

Re: Moving to Wales...
good luck with the move Clara
Wales seems to be very popular at the moment.
I am heading to the UK for the first time in 4 years for a family visit this year in Worcestershire but have made arrangements to visit friends and go to a wedding - all in Wales!!!
