Hi pbf, only just read this thread. Our rescue dog (german sheperd X border collie), was also named Poppy, but Jackie & i both thought it not "quite right", so J came up with "Sadie", which she answers to quite happily. (Especially, when we are in the forest & she has a rabbit clamped in her jaws)............ lovely in the slow cooker!
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.
