Re: What does your home smell of?
Plum wood smoke
The tree died two years ago, but we (ie hubby) only chopped it down today so it was perfectly seasoned. We shall replant with a damson before we move as the other plum tree in the orchard produces huge ammonts of fruit & we've always felt the lack of damsons.

Always smells of doggies! (general dog hair smell and unfortunately, dog farts....) And incense.
Often smells of refried beans, my favourite meal is pinto beans mashed up with fajita spice mix, yum!

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Ha ha Yvette! I know exactly what you mean, my son's bedroom developed a distinct odour once he hit the teens.
My house actually smells pretty pleasant today because the sun has come out and I have been able to open all the windows and let some fresh air in -Roll on summer and the smell of newly mown grass flowing through the house. The stink of overheated barbecues and the local farmer manuring the field being the exception to lovely outdoor, summer smells.

Re: What does your home smell of?
We've got the local farmers muck spreading at the mo. Stinks something rotten!
Someone told me they are spraying duck wee on the fields but that might have been a wind-up for a gullible Anglaise or something lost in translation.

Re: What does your home smell of?
A wind up - there's no such thing as duck or chicken or any bird wee. It all comes out together as one thing that looks like poo!
All the fields around our way all have huge muck piles dumped on them which look like regular muck heaps with straw etc rotted in with the poo, which is then spread around with a spreader type thingy behind the tractor. Looks like normal muck heap stuff to me but probably contains septic tank contents as well.

Re: What does your home smell of?
Yes, you're probably right. Just the straw and stuff from the barns at the duck/chicken/turkey farms piled up and spread about! Anyway, it has gone now and I can just smell blossom which is far nicer.
