Lily of the Valley advice please
I have masses of lily of the valley growing everywhere and would like to move most of it. Does anyone know if I can just dig it up and dry it and plant it again next spring, or do I have to put it in pots? Any advice gratefully received! pbf.

It seems to prefer being replanted straight away. So if you dont have somewhere prepared, I guess pots would be a good option.

I'd go with that. You CAN (if you must) dig up the crowns in late autumn and dry them, but you'll have at least a 50% failure rate. And if you've ever bought a dried crown and tried to get it going again, you'll know that it can take up to three years to even see a sign of it. Yes - best keep them going in pots.
