Mobile screen

I need to remove the glass screen of my mobile phone and it's proving very difficult - is there any way to do it or is it meant to be permanently stuck - it's been in water and I'd like to dry it out because the screen won't show anything even though it comes on and lights up.

Don't switch it on and put it in a bag of rice for 48hours to dry out.
