We have been looking into cohousing recently and have friends involved in Lancaster Cohousing. Its starting to take shape.

After years of hard work, the community group I know in Lancaster has just started building 41 eco-homes. They’ve still a few houses left: 1 bed, 3 beds and a larger 3-4 bed, in case you fancy joining, or enticing friends and family to move to Lancaster. It’s one of the biggest projects of its type in Europe and as well as your own super-insulated home, resident’s get use of a range of communal facilities (indoor and out): guest rooms, kid’s room, gardens, common house, car pool, workshop and office space, etc. It’s a new way of doing traditional communities.
