So glad I came back across this thread! I'm living in France at the moment, au pairing for kids that don't really speak English. Still I feel awkward using real swear words in front of them, so I'm taking notes!

Yeah, I'd have thunk so too, but it seems that the young adults know them all, thanks to a love of the French yoof - UK/US comedy series, but the younger kids don't have a clue.

If this has been said before then I apologise.............flocking, as in birds flocking. Feels good to say 'that flocking cat/woman/man/computer' - that last one I use a lot!

American christians I met said 'oh PEAS and RICE' instead of Jesus Christ.

Popular at school:

KRACATOA!

barnacle! spanner!

I must say crikey and twiglet about a hundred times a day.

My mum called an old man in the pub a tw*t once cause she thought it was like saying twit! That was exceptionally funny
I then (aged about 14?) had to explain to my mum in front of a pub full of flabberghasted men that a tw*t was like a c*nt

This was our local where the men always apologised if they swore if there were 'ladies present' to which my dad would always say 'that's no lady, that's my daughter!'

Sorry if this is too far a digression from non-swear words  had forgotten all about this embarassing incident from my prim and proper mum

Could be a craving for chocolate in disguise?!

I'm sure there used to be a racing powerboat called "Kinnell Fire"... the TV commentators had to be quite careful....

My MIL calls her private bits 'Possible'

I couldn't understand why so after a good few years I got brave and asked her why.

'Oh', she said, 'When i just have a strip wash, I wash up as far as possible, down as far as possible....and then I wash Possible'................

Mystery solved

Just found and read this thread. It is great! Here are a few of my favorites.
Uvula knocker
toe jam
weed remover (the user of a hoe naturally)
son of a biscuit
flour sack (for when the f is already coming)
mud head
standing at 90 degrees (right angle)
turtle neck

And the favorites of my children,
Foul names!
Mean stuff and names!
Stuff on my shoe! (usually prefaced with 'you are')
