growing herbs in clay soil?

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

herbs tend to like soil in poor condition and preferrably dry. So if it's water logged they will not like it so try adding some sand and pea shingle
