Easy orange cake

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Easy orange cake

Post: # 289010Post fruitfly »

I thought I'd share this orange cake recipe I found on an Australian website a few years ago - I'm afraid it uses cup measures:
1 whole orange cut up and popped in the food processor, whizz around and add a cup of sugar, a cup of oil and 3 eggs (I only use 2), then 2 cups of self-raising. Chocolate chips can be stirred in if you like but as a plain cake it is really quite nice and also as a pudding.

Ooh that sounds lovely! Thanks for posting. May give that a go this evening, have a bag of satsumas on the turn.

Yes, pips are removed, the rest goes in - peel and pith included.
