Last years pickling vinegar.

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Last years pickling vinegar.

Post: # 275411Post Pumkinpie »

Just found 6 bottles of last years picking vinegar in the garage. It is a clear one 6 percent acetic acid.
I think I am going to use it to make some raspberry vinegar. I am hoping it will be ok as I didn't think vinegar should go off. What do fellow selfsufficientishers think. Should it be ok.

I'd think it should be fine, yes.
Cheers

The only thing (to my knowledge) that can go wrong with vinegar is that it will break down to (essential) water over time if exposed to the air and the right micro-organisms.
