the latest incarnation of an old junior school chair, using rug wool which may be recognised by those who met in Lacock. My fave backyard perch :cooldude:

Hey - I really like your chair and it has given me a brilliant idea!

At the school where I work we seem to get through quite a few chairs, I don't know why they are made so flimsy when they are obviously going to be sat on by hundreds of people and moved around quite a lot.
Anyway, we also do a unit of work where the kids to make things out of junk as a way to promote recycling - if we collected all the broken chairs they could all make different ones, that would be really different and fun!

Thanks for the inspiration! :sunny:

You're very welcome Shirleymouse - when I first was given the chair it still had it's plywood attached, since then through the years it's had .duct tape, .wood nets and .garden string

tip if yours has no top rail (like mine) easier to make an envelope or a sack and slot it over than try to weave to just the 'uprights'
