So far I frozen them and only used for breakfast smoothies. I was told I could make jam from them, but I got quite a bit of jam already and making more soon with the rest of the apples.

How else can you use them?

Currently making blackberry and elderberry wine and also making blackberry whisky.

I haven't made either before, but I hear that blackberry whisky is amazing and even better than sloe gin!

Also, blackberry and apple crumble is wonderful!

I've made blackberry jam, apple and blackberry crumble, apple and blackberry pie, apple and blackberry muffins, breakfast smoothies and hot and cold porridge (mix blackberries with porridge oats over night and in the morning stir in yoghurt to eat). Also had some with ice cream or yoghurt and the occasional sneaky handful straight from the fridge. Yummy!

I've tried it and it's good!

Jelly! I don't like blackberries in jam personally as I find the seeds a bit yucky in texture. So I made some hedgerow jelly with apples, a lemon and loads of blackberries. It is beautiful, looks a beautiful ruby colour in the jar and tastes nice too.

Can't eat them in anything since I picked a load once, left them out to do something else and returned to find literally a thousand tiny maggots crawling about which had emerged from the fruit - yuk! Put me off for life. If only the same thing could happen with pizza or chocolate.

Nothing can compare with a good blackberry pie. I also use frozen blackberries for making cocktails

I had most of mine raw - made some jam to give away. Anything involving sugar and/or pastry is out.

Blackberry whisky, you say. Hmm. I'm not sure whether my OH would laugh or cry at that. I'm certain he'd give it a try though - at least once.

What in fact is blackberry whisky? Is that whisky in which blackberries have been infused? Or a whisky made with blackberries added to the malt and then distilled? or ???? If it's "simply" an infused whisky then I wonder if you could not make this yourself - using either an inexpensive whisky or a vodka and adding say a scant kilo of fruit (frozen or fresh). . After a month of steeping strain out the fruit and then add simple syrup (perhaps a cup or less or more, made with honey or table sugar) or not and Voila! I offer this because in the last few months I have been on a kick making various liqueurs using either vodka or scotch... and using all kinds of nuts and fruits and teas to infuse flavors and let me tell you they turn out fabulous. And I started this kick because the price of vanilla extract shot through the roof about a year ago and so I decided to make some vanilla.. and for the price of a few sticks of vanilla (not inexpensive here in NY) and the price of a pint of cheap vodka I was able to make a large batch of extract for about 1/10 of what it would have cost me to buy.

Its infused into the whisky Bernard as there are recipes for whisky infusion online, when i make sloe vodka its an infusion of sloes and brown sugar left to marinade, this can be done with most spirits.
There's a big upsurge in gin infusions at the minute in the UK they are really expensive and i agree with you its so cheap to make your own and its great fun :thumbright:
