Forum upgrade

As you all know the forum is many years old and has had its troubles at times (we had great difficulties gaining regular access a few years back).

Anyway, being old and clunky (a bit like me) it needs some serious upgrading, which John Headstrong is currently undertaking. Some of you may have noticed the board was down for a while this afternoon. Hopefully this shouldn't happen too much and we'll carry on as usual in the meantime.

Keep the faith, we'll be bigger and better soon.

Everything seems to be well. However it is a huge forum (far too big for us to trawl through all the old threads - although Odsox keeps trying ) and it's possible some things may not be quite right.

So if you're browsing and come across anything that's broken give us a shout.

We know some picture links didn't make it through the "troubles" of a few years back so don't worry too much about those.

Too early to start sowing with a vengeance and too wet to dig outside.

I started looking back through the forum just to make sure it was all there. I almost needed rescuing as I got stuck in a time warp around 2004 and only just managed to escape.

A bit quiet, much the same as now.
2008 on the other hand was just as busy as I remember it.

Just had word from John that all is now upgraded and fixed. There shouldn't be any more problems but if you spot any problems let us know.

Hi I have just rejoined and having trouble with adverts popping up, its already driving me mad. Is there a way I can stop seeing them please?
