There's me looking for a tech based solution when all I really need to do is a appease the internet gods. I'll wait to the rain stops and make a sacrifice - an old ZX81 should do the trick.

If that doesn't work then I think it's going to cost around £1000 to get the site back up to stratch, if not better. If anyone knows a good tech person with a good track history then let me know, it might help. I don't want a tinkerer but someone who really knows about forums.

We have 5905 members but that is over 10 years and some of them have only posted once or twice.

Yes I can send out a group email to all of them which should help. Once money is raised I have been wondering if I should try and get some more people involved with the site and run it as a co-operative. I've got too much on to run the site well (I'm sure that has become very obvious!) so if anyone (including yourself doofaloofa-what is you real name btw?) wanted to come and join there would be a bit of vetting process, nothing too heavy, just to make sure they knew what they were getting into. They would then have a somewhere to write articles, somewhere to advertise their wares, a monthly column to rant about the world or just joke about and an equal share in the advertising revenue. What do you think? And are there any takers out there?
