Bottling too early - everyone's done it

I'd be tempted to recork the whole lot (or at least let the gas out if you're using screw-tops) - it may just save you a shower or two of glass.

Same argument applies - release the locking lever a little and VERY slowly to allow any excess pressure to vent. I didn't realise you could get those without drinking an awful lot of Grolsch :?

They're not the cheapest of bottles to purchase new - but we were on holiday in Germany this year and I bought a crate of 24 x 500ml swing top bottles for something like €9. And the bonus was that they were full of German beer too :thumbright:

If they were full of beer then they'll be fine for fizzy wine but Like MKG says your best off releasing the excess gas now and enjoy the wine in a few months.
