Bottling too early - everyone's done it
I'd be tempted to recork the whole lot (or at least let the gas out if you're using screw-tops) - it may just save you a shower or two of glass.

Same argument applies - release the locking lever a little and VERY slowly to allow any excess pressure to vent. I didn't realise you could get those without drinking an awful lot of Grolsch

They're not the cheapest of bottles to purchase new - but we were on holiday in Germany this year and I bought a crate of 24 x 500ml swing top bottles for something like €9. And the bonus was that they were full of German beer tooMKG wrote:Same argument applies - release the locking lever a little and VERY slowly to allow any excess pressure to vent. If they were full of beer then they'll be fine for fizzy wine but Like MKG says your best off releasing the excess gas now and enjoy the wine in a few months.
