Hello from the Midlands

Post: # 90142Post witch way? »

Hi all, been reading the site for a while and its good to meet people who are on the same planet as me. We've a one acre 'mini-holding' off which I try to grow all our veg. We keep a few chix and each year fatten up a couple of weeners. My OH is into eco building projects and (groan) e-bay. We have to work part-time, from home, but the rest of our time is ours to 'play outside' as we please. I believe our government is doing too little too late enivronmentally and am doing my best to convert friends and family by a 'softly softly' approach to be more green. I measure my own success in, when we sit down to a meal, how much of it was produced by ourselves. Well thats me. Pleased to meet you all. W.

Hi T&F, thanks for the welcome. Most of the the interesting stuff seems to go on around Bristol/Glastonbury way. Nice to know I'm not alone up here. W.

Sorry Ina (and all Shetlanders) my geography's rubbish.

ML. I am veggie too unless its organic or our own meat. This is both on grounds of animal welfare and also my own health. We have a friend who is allergic to penicilin who comes out in hives when he eats supermarket meat - hmmmm wonder why?
