Hello from Cyprus
Hello to all, we moved to Cyprus 12 months ago and are now actively trying to be as self sufficient as possible. We have a smallholding and have 22 deep beds, a herb garden and have planted 45 fruit trees. We were lucky enough to have 4 mature olive trees and after 4 days hard work picking we took our crop of 200kg to the local press today and returned with 40litres of golden green olive oil.
We found it difficult to find any information on vegetable, fruit and herb organic gardening in Cyprus so we have spent ages researching and so decided to put the information on a website. If anybody wants to have a look and has any suggestion or advice please do so.

Re: Hello from Cyprus
Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Hi Sunflowergal, like the blog and elderflower cordial not only tastes great but has a beautiful smell. We lived in North Kent where we had an allotment for 20 odd years. The site had lots of elderberries and we enjoyed the cordial every summer.

Re: Hello from Cyprus
It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth -- and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up -- that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.
