No Gardeners World for a month.

Do you think The Good Life could be remade, with me or Dave playing Tom Good (maybe not!)? If you have seen something on TV or heard something on the radio recently that you want to talk about, tell us here.

No Gardeners World for a month.

I just put my 'disgusted of Tunbridge Wells' hat on and complained to the BBC - they're bumping Gardeners World for a month so they can show more sports! There are few programmes I enjoy - why bump GW? :angryfire: Oh, dear! I'm turning into a grumpy old woman.

Monty was having a bit of a moan about it too - on Twitter.

He said:

"sport wiping out GW is strange isn't it? Would they ditch football for a month mid season?"

They are always knocking it off for the snooker - now it's Wimbledon and then I suppose the bloody Olympics. :angryfire:

The problem is that it is on BBC2. :(

Well done Marshlander! Apparantly every written complaint the BBC receive equates to an estimated 30,000 people who grumbled but didn't write. 35% of the Adult UK Population fall into this category.

They actively take this demographic into account, so if you really want to make a difference, write to them! Source document: http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/bbctrust/ass ... nt_rep.pdf

I don't watch too much tv but I do enjoy GW.I get quite annoyed actually when Monty announces it won't be on for 2 weeks or whatever and then to announce a whole month? We're all at the peak of the gardening calendar are'nt we?By the time it returns,he'll (and us lol)will be probably harvesting alot of the veg!I thought tv was for everyone, not just sports buffs.GW is'nt on all year round so what we do get is pretty precious in my opinion. How about replace the Euro cup with GW????? Oh well Titchmarsh is back on this week is'nt he?
