Hi Fee, what does the slug trap look like. We have a few slugs but not the quantities you talk about. I would like to try making them, (the traps that is).

Im have a big slug problem at the moment they ate 4 of my baby lettuces last night despite having a beer trap out and going out every half hour with a torch to remove any i could find.
Every half-hour? That's dedicated! It sounds like, among other strategies, you need to make sure you plant out a lot more seedlings than you expect to make it to adulthood.
