Pineapples

Post: # 267805Post Scotness »

I've just noticed one of my pineapple plants is fruiting (or is that vegetabling??) - this is the first time one of them has done that - any idea how long they take to mature. I'm in Brisbane, Australia - just heading into spring and summer now - presumably it would be till late summer?

Also the plant looks a bit yellow and withered - I'm keeping plenty of water up to it - but it doesn't look as strong and green as the ones I've seen on pineapple farms -- any tips?

Thanks,
Scot

A spot of liquid feed with a pinch of Epsom salts might help. I have a feeling pineapples need a lot of magnesium.
