6 months in approximately through the year and the cut up tea towels that were no use for drying up have also gone the distance as they were no longer even fit to clean up with.

It's time to replace certain items of underwear - sorry can't make bras and knickers. Can do a lot of things but those items are outside my DIY skills.

I wonder if someone has opened that shop yet?

I went into the local bigger town up the road yesterday morning for a change of scenery. Things are closing down and it was quiet - must be that we are all self sufficient. The plans to do something with the old bus station now there is a new one have come unstuck as no-one wants to commit to new shops in the town. All I wanted was a new handbag which came from the charity shop.

T***o has sent me my Christmas points statement - it's not going to be worth spending and I can't see what I'm going to spend them on either. The food cupboards are full to overflowing and the veggies are being frozen at a rate of knots. Oh and the doctor wants me to lose weight as part of a regime to get my knees replaced (they are looking for excuses locally not to do knees due to the NHS being cash strapped and the demand being great).

Hi Nev, nice to see you back again.

My to do list is to get more done. I have been having a lot of back trouble lately and as a result jobs have been left undone, mainly the more energetic manual jobs.
Other than that, continue being self sufficient in veg and seasonally self sufficient in fruit, and to stop growing F1 varieties of produce for whatever reason.

That is some to do list Mr Nev Wombat. Doesn't sound like a one year list mind.

I wonder if the Wombat's list ever involves starting a job to find that two or three other things need to be done in order to be able to get on with it?

Perhaps it's just my planning .............

No, not just you Flo. We regularly laugh at our efforts to find some sensible starting point, for many of our efforts.

I have the opposite problem, or at least different, as I've developed a butterfly mind.
I decide to do a job, then on my way to do it I find something else that is more important to do, and while going to get the tools to do the second job I find an even more important job to do.
That first job rarely gets done until it becomes even much more important.

I've just had another look at Wombat's list and would you believe he has crossed off some items since he posted it at the end of October. His last update is 18th December so something must be happening.

Well yes, but you must remember it's "June" for Wombat, I'm sure I'll be a busy bee in 6 months time.
At the moment the only things likely to get ticked if I had a To Do list would be, "Survive Christmas" and "Keep out of the wind and rain"

We could sit down and write a To Do list and pin it somewhere that we can't see then?

My To Do list is pretty much just jottings as to where I'm going to grow the stuff in my tunnels. It's quite complicated as I do a 4 year rotation (where possible) and have to have it planned so that every space has something growing in it at all times.
So when something is finished there's something else waiting to take it's place.
Other than that it's a case of doing things when they need doing (like mowing) or doing things when the weather allows.
