Just gave away about half a bushel of mixed peppers, red, green and yellow, as we have more than enough frozen and some in the fridge.
Runner beans are doing very well this year, and I'm glad I grow them just inside the polytunnel, otherwise they would be flat on the ground after storm Ellen. My pea row was flattened by her, although we managed to tie them back up but likely to be flattened again tonight by storm Francis. Still picked just under a kilo for the freezer, so not too worried.
It's going to be a good year for Potimarron squash, I already have 10 ready to harvest and the 2 vines are still going strong, making a dash for freedom.

Not too bad, nothing broken down here. The wind is in the west this time, so the pea row is more sheltered.
Lots of rain overnight though.

P*ssing it down all day today... :( But I've just harvested one of my beloved kohlrabi. Really should grow more of them.

Think I've harvested all the plums. Have dwarf beans if the rain ever stops - does harvesting rain ever count?

It does for me as I do it all the time. The last "little shower" we had refilled one of my 1000 litre tanks that I emptied irrigating my tunnels the day before.
Can't waste it

not much at this time of year; with the heavy frosts and dry autumn only a few greens still going. The normal citrus glut; sans lemons due to heavy pruning - Marmalade on the go 'though how much of this needed is limited.

Thankfully our first "normal" autumn and winter rainfall for more than 4 years so this season is shaping up well.

Distribution across the world could be better - we'd gladly let you have some!

Still getting a few tomatoes, although the vines are dying off, so I think we'll pick all the rest at the weekend and start clearing the greenhouse. A few green peppers - I don't think they'll get any riper. Having said that the greenhouse window was fully open and it's lovely in there.
I'll also found some very peculiar little cucumbers. We grew two sorts, having never had any success to speak of up here. One produced some 5-6" stumpy cucumbers which were tasty but we didn't think the other variety produced anything - and my neighbour said hers was producing male flowers, on an F1! I found these hiding under some tomato plants. No idea what they'll taste like but we'll give it a go for lunch.
The blackberries must have heard us telling them they're out this year if they don't produce anything. They're hung in fruit at various stages of ripening so, unless the weather takes a dramatic turn, we should hope fully get a few more puds out of them. Unfortunately they're not ripening in sufficient quantities to make jam.
There are also a few chillies hiding in there - we'll bring those plants in for the winter and put a few tender outdoor plants in the greenhouse.

I was a bit despondent, a couple of months ago, that the greenhouse wasn't going to be any more productive than the polytunnel but I was just being too impatient. We've had the best crops since we've been here - including on our windowsills. We just need to get it through the winter now.

We've just finished clearing plums, pears and cooking apples. Am still in the process of clearing eating apples as these are easy to reach and don't require the minions to go up ladders. Also the daughter has discovered that the decorative crab apples can actually be used for jam so that's something else to use. Likewise we still have vegetables in the ground - leeks, beetroot, red cabbage, swede, parsnips, kale, purple sprouting broccoli, brussel sprouts. A few other bits and pieces so we are going to be picking for a bit.

No blackberries at all this year. They had some kind of disease last year - had it before, everything sort of withered, so I had to cut it back to the ground. Looking very healthy now, but no fruit, of course!

Runner beans still just hanging on, although not helping that I'm leaving some for seed. Leeks are huge this year, and early, but not pulled one yet. Other than that, tomatoes, squash, carrots, broccoli, autumn cabbage, beetroot, mooli radish (new to me), lettuce and French beans for haricot, apples, pears and physalis.

I for got the apples which have been stewed and frozen. Just the one tree produced anything this year. Oh, and the physalis - what to do with the triffid?

last of the winter greens - starting planting (trying Hiko 40 cell trays for starting seedlings) spring greens, spuds, strawberries and some herbs. Put in a few early tomatoes just in time for a late frost!

If my memory serves, triffids were boiled down for oil
