Re: does anyone leave their carrots in over winter?
I've left mine in under cardboard - just been digging them up as and when required - ground has been pretty well frozen for weeks but cardboard seems to stop them getting frozen in too

Re: "Natural"diet for cats?
Really interesting thread and around something I regularly debate with my neighbour. My cat seems to like a real mix of stuff - she prefers the pouches to dried food and kills something most days - although I'm jealous of oldjerry at the mo re the rats - the cat has recently brought 2 in, 2 days in ...

Re: Wind turbines on your door step?
We're just working our way through the process of getting a couple of large wind turbines for the village. It's an opportunity for us to raise some money for our community. The nearest power station to us is Dounreay  -currently being decommissioned thank goodness. excellent - good luck :che...

Re: Anybody Survived Taking Iron Tablets?

Th...

Re: Help with geothermal underfloor heating
Hi NB Not got Geothermal heating myself but know a lot of peeps who do - I'm assuming it is a ground source heat pump. I'm afraid everyone with GSHP that I've spoken to reported massive heating bills this winter - you don't say if the pipework for it is vertical or horizontal but both suffered from ...
