I'll certainly listen in though.

Oh please - don't add to the confusion that already exists in my head as I daily attempt to be part of humankind

Re: Radio 4 Programme Today

Well this is weird - I woke up this morning convinced today was Sunday only to be pleasantly surprised that it was Saturday LOL

The programme is on TOMORROW (being Sunday 30th) on R4 at 2.45 PM. Apologies to all for not being part of the human race until at least mid-morning.......... :oop

Radio 4 Programme Today

Just in case anyone is a Radio 4 fiend like moi (or even if you are not !), there is a programme entitled ' Self-Sufficiency and the Downsizers ' today on Radio 4 (92.4 - 94.6 FM) that analyses John Seymour's " Complete Book of Self-Sufficency " from 1976. That was the book that led me to ...

Re: First time wine making... questions...

I will try coffee wine, Tia-Maria is my usual shop bought tipple, so I think I would like it. The dandelion wine was rank. Tasted like watered down cheap whisky :pukeright: made a fine toilet cleaner though... The rhubarb wine was/is gorgeous but the rowanberry was by far the best. When we get back...

'ello 'ello, what have we got 'ere then ?

Can anybody help identify these two plants that have appeared in my postage stamp of a garden and are they weeds, flowers or something else and should I be felt sorry for or commended ? The yellow plant is about 2-3 feet tall and the purple one about 1-2 feet tall.

Cheers m'dears

Re: Water tank

Oh poo - I have just discovered a hole in the side and whilst I did my best to plug it, means that I can't really use this pot as a pond. I was also thinking of using it as a planter for perhaps a tree but our garden is only a postage stamp-size so there would be no real room. Andy or Dave - any use...
