Can I ask which books you have already bought and which ones you would say were good (ie the ones you werent disappointed with) please? I am also interested in permaculture, but all I can find on the net is what seems almost like a religion! Or paid for courses that I cant afford to go on.

It surely has to be a matter of common sense. It is, in the main, obvious if something is on PRIVATE as opposed to "private" property. If it's in my orchard, for instance, you'd have to get through a gate or two and walk across a lawn to get to the apples. In the case of the apple tree on...

Nightshade, which as others have said is Solanaceae, imo. There is one that is harmelss-ish and one that is called 'deadlt nightshade' for good reason - the flowers on the latter are usually purple.

Have you come across these guys: http://www.education-otherwise.net/ They already do leaflets etc and are a great source of help, especially if you end up delaing with the authorities. Well I have been to the WI website but couldnt find much that was helpful really. Did a google search for FHC and came up with http://www.food-certificate.co.uk/catering/online-food-hygiene-for-catering.aspx I take it that's the sort of thing? Where will I find out if I need PLI as well? CAB maybe? ...
