Re: @*!%@*** Royal Mail

I doubt if Her Maj QE has anything to do with the postal system, that (the post) is currently in the throws of change and run by idiots If the monarchy stopped we'd have to give back all their land and the money it brings in(currently used by the british govt with an allowance given back to the roya...

Re: What are you havesting

Re: can they do this to him??

I believe they can because it's an 'allowance' (which they might have a time limit on) not part of the payrate (had this happen to me working at the big company) As the company won't pay travel expenses maybe he should be asking them to collect him and take him to work (I know - daft idea, but I wou...

Re: knitting help...

There is the knitting dictionary, the vogue stitchionery, and the stitch library (knitters bible) with lots of pattern stitches which I can see available on amazon just now. WH Smith used to have a good range in their craft section too.

I still use a pullout from a magazine (1970's)

Re: Spinning , new skill

hope you had a good day - are you using a spindle or a wheel? I admit to owning a wheel but do way more on drop spindles than the wheel (for which you have to stay in one place ;) )
What sort of fleeces are you using?

Re: The difference a bigger kitchen can make

:flower: how lovely it must be to have a large kitchen :king: mine's a galley, originally the scullery and a throughway to the shower/utility and the back door. Although at 10' x 7' I can't say it's really small, especially as the washing has moved to the utility (removed bath, inserted shower and b...

not sure about anywhere else but it's +/- 17% here. I live in a row of six houses and I'm the only one in the row with edibles in the garden.
