Re: Hello From Across The Pond!!

Re: whers da logic ??

Crowsashes - you're right about the hassle of rent and housing associations usually have a no pets rule, I know chickens are not pets, but try explaining that to captain clip board - our solar was under £100 including the panel, wires, light and the light has some kind of battery in it - we found th...

Re: Any Ishy Bloggers out there?

Lots of your signatures remind me that I'm following quite a few blogs and love hearing how you all simplify your lives. My blog is my journey to ishdom, I have to pay off debts first so the grindingly frugal stuff is the main focus of my blog, along with cooking (I never buy ready food - I make it ...

Re: whers da logic ??

we've got some solar from maplins for our shed/brew house and it runs a tiny heater a few hours a day to stop it freezing and some light and they get cheaper all the time - we saw that deal in plymouth and are tempted to run it for my office as I only need light in there

Re: Too much compost!

Just dug ours over today and there's lots that hasn't rotted down yet but it has in the middle and at the bottom, that's now in huge pots ready for planting with spuds in march - they'll be put on a sunny patio to warm up and some has been thrown in a pile near to where we'll build a new bed - keep ...

However, it's the done thing to be 'green' here in UK, green is a very 'middle class' (what ever t...
