Re: Autumnwatch unsprung 14th October 2010

Hi Andy, I have no idea how you stayed so composed in all that chaos. Well done you. As others have said it's a shame all the buffoonery cut you short, the food looked fab. Will email the beeb to say so. Despite that it was great to see some ish on telly, I didn't know you were going to be on and go...

Re: What a miserable day for news

All this Pam Ayres talk reminds me of a favourite childhood poem, though Google can't tell me if it's actually one of hers. In our yard we had a bucket, Now we haven't - someone took it. I also had a kylie & jason phase and remember getting a record token from my mum and dad signed "Not to ...

Re: Soap Making Help.........

Being that I am procrasinating today  I checked the figures for the channel 4 recipe on the lye calculator and they don't seem to add up (if it was the kirstie alsop recipe you used)? For the oils used it reccomended 554-831 ml water (not as much as the 900 given) and 314.16-304.24 g lye was ...

Re: Gratuitous Gushing about River Cottage Everday, Thurs 8p

On a slightly less foolish note ... I don't need to find out when it's on 'cause it says in the title and I will be trying to 'catch' some of the episodes not 'atch' them as previously stated

Re: Heart attack food

A pudding baisin full of warm soya chocolate pudding. Probably not so bad if I just ate a portion but I like to eat the entire pudding baisin full. Yum yum

May go and make some now in fact

Re: Lentil soup recipes wanted

Made a lovely simple lentil soup today and it was delicious. I particularly like soups when I'm poorly sick so this is a winner because I can't think I'd ever need to leave the house for any of the ingredients! :pirate: Chop a large onion and fry in a tablespoon of olive oil for a few mins until lig...

Re: Rhubarb cordial advice anyone?

Well, yum yum  I didn't make much in case it was horrid (about 500mls from 1/2 kg rhubarb? - if this seems way out it probably is as I can't necessarily remember but I think it was something like this). It is in fact quite delicious :sunny: . Very sweet and gloopy (sweeter than I usuall...
