Re: best oil for moisturising?

Ok, thanks! How long will it keep before going rancid do you reckon?

Re: best oil for moisturising?

Sorry if this sounds a bit daft, but how do I go about mixing them all? Would it turn solid/separate?

best oil for moisturising?

hello, long time no post! Just got back from help-xing in portugal and my skin is a bit wrinkly from a combination of sun, salty sweat, dust, wind, freezing mornings, and very little washing. What's the best oil to use for my face, and other bits actually, so something not massively expensive? Jojob...

Re: Can you trust your mechanic?

I know it might be a bit late now, but there are the council garages where they MOT buses etc. you can get your car MOT test done there, as they don't actually carry out repairs there (if anything needs doing either you take it to a garage or you fix it yourself, then they retest it for 1/2 price) t...

Re: Sea fishing?

Ok so good news- my friend does fish, has a relative who is a fisherman, is on friendly terms with a couple of angling shops, and knows someone who is wanting to get rid of some tackle to a new home! More good news is that he offered to come with us the first couple of times to show us the ropes, an...

Re: frumpy dress?

Still not finished, had another disagreement with the sewing machine whilst quilting so it's still just tacked together waiting to be sewn properly. Puddleduck: I made it up, I used the bottom of a wrap around dress I have for the template for the bottom bit and just messed around with the top.

4. Knitting a sock, I now have a pair!
5. Manually whittling away the rust on our camper and painting it, rather than taking it to get done professionally. Much more fun.. :shaking:
6. Ate food from the garden.

Re: Sea fishing?

Thanks Mike, I'll wait and see what the book says then ask again if things are still confusing me. I read somewhere that fixed spool is good because of something to do with being able to load 2 different reels on for different types of beaches (e.g . rocky or clean), where as with the multiplier you...

Sea fishing?

I need some advice on gear for sea fishing (as in, the type where you stand on the beach) we've decided to get some rods/a rod and give it a go as we live really close to the sea and g used to love going with his dad as a kid (I would have done too, but I grew up being told ''that isn't for girls'''...

Re: We will try to ID your mushrooms here

No colour change, I don't think anyway, do they change significantly? I'm going to have a look see if there's any more today. Thanks for the help, by the way!

Re: We will try to ID your mushrooms here

Just realised there is a silver birch rooted about 2 meters away from the mushroom, I'm guessing it is an freakishly large birch bolete then?

Re: We will try to ID your mushrooms here

When I put my hand under him to take a picture I got brown liquid on me, not tried cutting it though -he's too impressive I can't bring myself to pick him! Haven't seen any others around, will keep an eye out though. How big do birch boletes usually get?

Re: We will try to ID your mushrooms here

Just found this big fella down by the back of the garage. Next to my rather scruffy foot for sizing, it's about 25-30cm across. http://i51.tinypic.com/68c8lk.jpg The underside looks like fresh bread when it's torn apart, rather than gills. http://i54.tinypic.com/2en2tzo.jpg The stalk has like darker...

Re: Being eaten alive.

Hahaha! True though! Oh and just making plain that I didn't mean it like that, that's all. The council only come for cockroaches, mice or rats. Well, they do fleas and ''cluster flies'' (?) but for £37.50 (!), shall be cheaper to do it myself. I found 5 bombs on ebay for £14.99, bob marley... I'm su...
