Re: Babbington leeks
Just seen this post looking for something else, as it was my website I thought I'd reply. They form bulblets in September on the top of the plant. You can sow these or if you have an area of low lying scrub you can just scatter them in and they should come up. You can eat the leaves in late winter/e...

Grow your food for free, any corrections needed?
The second edition of my book "Grow your food for free" is about to be printed. Over the next few weeks I'm going to go through it and see if there are any minor mistakes we missed on the first print. If there is anything any of you have picked up that needs changing then please let me kno...

Re: Wild food courses in Exeter, Oxford,Northampton, Totnes
Well I'm happy to put a course on in Brittany if I could drum up enough people to come along. I wouldn't know where to advertise it though, any ideas?

This is last year! I'll leave this up for a week or so then I'll have to delete it to avoid confusion. Still not put up the autumn courses but they should go up in the next couple of months

Inventors Corner
I keep getting ideas for products and would like them to see the light of day one day but I know I will never get around to making them. So from now on I will post my ideas here and would like to encourage others to do the same. So my first is - Kettles that hang on radiators. This would be a long t...

Re: An update from Dave (almost a Dad)
Get it right mate, 8lb 4oz! Very happy, have made an announcement elsewhere on the forum. It gets a bit bewildering, facebook, twitter, blogs, too many places to announce big things like this. I'm a very happy man.

After a long labour Baby Douglas came into the world last night (15th November) at 8pm, he weighed 8lb 4oz, both mother (Ellie) and Douglas are doing fine. I'm over the moon, he's a lovely baby. I'll be updating my blog at some point soon but have other things to do right now!

I wasn't sure if Ellie wanted me to post it so I took it off. I've now found time to ask her and it's all okay. It's soon, very soon, read the updated blog. Gotta go bye!!

Re: Wild redcurrants
Not something to eat in a large quantity and never eat when unripe. I made a nice sauce with it once, it's okay but I'd rather eat hawthorn berries/hawes at this time of year. It is a really good wildlife tree, there was one outside a window I used to find myself gazing out of and I used to watch bi...
