Every so often Lidl do giant stainless steel saucepans, you could fit about 3 turkeys in one! That's what I use for Jams, Chutneys and masses of soup for the freezer.

The extra carbon is the intensive farming, big tractors, fertilizers etc in order to get commercially viable yields, as far as I understand. Once proper biomass fermentation technology (making ethanol from the whole plant) matures ethanol will come into it's own.

I discovered I'd put some seed packets through a 50'C wash in my trouser pockets :oops: the turnips didn't get wet at all but the greens got soaked and have now germinated :shock:

Hi Chadspad, With me it's usually stress or having another ailment that sets it off, peppermint tea works nicely but there are days when I can't get to work in which case I take the medicine! I also find that muesli or porridge for breakfast help as then I know I'm getting the fibre I need in my die...

Erm, the allotments which have remained a haven of tranquility. Bit hard to love an area where your garden gets trashed by drunkards and your neighbours fence is set on fire!
Stonehenge, Avebury, Bratton Camp and Cley Hill are favorite places to escape to :)

Problem with motion sensitive lights is that you have to be moving to keep them on, not good for a desk job (personal experience here along the lines of 'help I've gone blind, oh no its the b****y lights again!)

I'm currently with Britannia, they'll cover any age car (one of mine is a 36 year old Morris Minor) and while I'm not sure if they are the cheapest they are the only one who will recover you anywhere and any distance on the basic policy. This is something to look out for as a lot of the big companie...
