Re: What size replacement rubber seals for my kilner jars?

Re: Decorating the town hall

Oh, something we did for a friends fiftieth a few years ago was select some nice photos showing different times in their life and blew them up and put them on the walls. They looked great and it created a nice chatting point for everyone at the party too.

Re: Decorating the town hall

Flowers are always lovely and if it's over the summer maybe some of the guests will have some nice roses or what have you in their gardens? And greenery from the garden can be used to nice effect, ferns, fancy grasses and such like. The hall may have vases, along with tablecloths? If you are anti-cu...

Re: Mouse/Mice

Hello  We've been in this house for two and a half years and there were mice in the garden/ garage when we came and before we realised, they had nested in a rucksack which had to be thrown away as chewed and covered in mouse pee. We moved a lot of the nestable stuff out of the garage and put b...

Re: Kilner flip top jars for chutney??

Yeah, I did chutney, last christmas for a prezzie for my dad, in kilner jars with no waxed discs and they're still fine ... I say they, not eating chutney myself I made what I now realise is a ridiculous qautity for one person to eat, so it's a good job it's keeping ok! Good luck, hope it turns out ...

Re: Full moon sugar frenzy!

Phew! Just back from MILs and made it through without taking my sugar crash out on anyone (no mean feat I can assure you) and even managed to eat my dinner politely though still feeling sick :thumbright: Now, if I can just avoid those pesky biscuits and the one remaining tart until bedtime, I can st...
