We have no straight lines or wiggly ones or even artistic curves. We have just moved into a rented house until we buy and it has the hardest compacted soil ever. Will someone lend our gardening fairy a pnuematic drill please?

I have two items Im finishing knitting at the mo in Stylecraft and King Cole. Noro is v expensive , are you aiming at the high end market? I knit items for others but not in the more expensive ranges as with washing, shaping Im afraid unless you have the time to gently wash things and so on somethin...

Hi

Southwell is one of my favouritist places! We are SE of Nottingham and also luv going to Stamford, Newark.
We are in Pork Pie territory (which of course I do not eat for obviouse reasons) :lol: here and its great to be nr so many cheese makers, farmers markets and glorious countryside.

We have always used two pieces of wood about 30cm tall and 30 Diam with thick twine attached. You poke one end down in the soil unwind the other one to the desired length in a taut fashion and stick that in the soil.(like a washing line but lower) You follow the straight line for planting, putting s...

Ladybirds are so cute, and helpful. There is a place called Beltinge in Kent, on the sea front. If you go there on the right day in the summer something amazing happends. Thousands of ladybirds come over on the wind from the continent and you get covered with them. So.. last yr we stood there and go...

Carrot Chutney please

Hubby and I eat loads of carrots and would like to make some chutney with them?
Can anyone reccomend a good recipe that would be suitable for a 2 yr old as well (not too spicy)..
