Re: It's a blue moon

Didn't know it was blue but it is beyooootiful. We went up to castlerigg stone circle at keswick, still snowing up there and suddenly the moon appeared between the hills. HUGE and stunning. What a treat.

Re: Rhubarb - how long before signs of life

Thanks again, just looking for excuses to potter about in the garden in freezing cold weather really, other than starting smoking again

Re: Rhubarb - how long before signs of life

Sorry to be slow, but do I really just dig some up tomorrow and leave it out til spring then re-pot  ?

Plants are incredible. There'd be nothing left of me to re-pot if you left me out til spring

Thanks, Jill

Re: buying bristish

Thank you :thumbright: Here's some for a start. I realise this could get out of hand, so am trying to list sites linking to a few places or places selling stuff I've found harder to get hold of made locally. madeinlancs.co.uk - mostly food & arty gifts www.madeincumbria.co.uk - online shop has candl...

Yes! New thread please! :wav:

I don't actually know what a thread is but assume it means not invading this topic about not buying anything with the names of lots of places to buy stuff

Re: Can I "not buy anything new for a year?"

Oh yes please!

It's so hard to find things - they make fleeces and waterproof jackets near me but I only found out recently that some of the stuff is actually made on site. They don't advertise this at all! Anyone know a good list of british made stuff??

thankyou for bringing this up :thumbright:
