Re: January Caterpillar!

I found 7 big brown caterpillars on the willow tree in the front garden yesterday, they made a very nice treet for my chuks as will any other nastys i find this year. The girls seem to have rid the back garden of slugs if only for a short while.

Re: Thinking about keeping bees?

I have been considdering bee keeping for a few years but i keep putting off taking the big step because i live on a housing estate and i am worried that my neighbours would complain.

As i have lots of bees visiting my garden any way would the neighbours even notice?

Re: DIY lecky

Thanks for that Dave, Very helpfull but rather disapointing.

I think i will give this project much more thought, i will either end up having them installed and built by a pro or be put off by the cost and thinking about it for ever more.

Re: She might be ugly but she is mine

Humm, a lock and chain dont seem to be much of a deterant for a skally with bolt crops, wich by the way they seem to carry as standard issue. :pale: All my previous bikes were locked up when they got pinched. I am hoping that even skallys have some standards and will leave "Gloria" alone. :flower: Eve

Re: Hens, patios and dogs ???

Do i have the wrong end of the stick? I to keep the coup on a hard standing for easy cleaning, if that is what you are planning on doing it is the best idea as it can be swept and washed down so your ladies have less risk of catching nasty bugs. I thought you were saying that they would be on a hard...

So far i have reduced my plastic usage by doing simple things. I gat my millk deliverd in glass bottles that are recycled by my millk man. I buy my fruit juce from him as well so the bottles all get sent back also. When i go shopping i buy products in either glass or tins so i can either reuse or re...

Re: What recession?

I would have to agree with you, i foolishly poped in to the big blue supermarket on Saterday and as usual it looked like a battle scene.

I to date have not seen much evidence of a recession.
