the green man watches over all our veg plots but he doesnt take sides so he watches over the aphids and catterpillars too so we have to tilt the balance of nature a bit in our favour at times.we are all part of the web of life so must rub along together. bit hard to feel kinship with slugs and cabba...

What about forming local little fairly informal Ish groups if enough of us live in one area.I have no idea if there are any Ishers living near. We need to look at meeting where public transport is easy and costs low whatever plan happens

not much waste here in fact hardly any,it is surprising what you can lose in curry or soup.meat is always devoured pretty quick so its only leftover cooked veg to deal with .

decided to only do a big shop every other week for the storecuboard stuff and I think that will work ok.the freezer is handy for storing leftovers and homemade ready meals for when nobody feels like cooking.I find the frozen pea a good standby commodity. my hubby bakes all our bread and that is froz...

I have revived that 80s thing , Leg warmers . I fold them double to keep my ankles warm which helps a bit but I do think maybe it is a circulation issue.Long johns from m&s are OK outside but when I go in and out of a very hot boat cabin I overheat when indoors,same applies to out and about on my bi...

Cold Feet

I cant seem to keep my feet warm,warm socks and moccasin slippers dont seem to be enough and I often get cold feet outside as well even in sensible shoes.The absolute worst is freezing cold but sweating feet ,this has not happened as much since I got middle aged . How do you all keep your feet warm ...

my OH skinned all the usefull bits out of an old washer, cant decide if to use the drum for a fire basket or to keep some thuggish plant in its place.

Loobyloo bet youve got style but I just look like an uncomfortable grumpy badly packed parcel so if you do the "looking cool" for me and save me from clothes torture its a deal.Theres no hope for me as I get older I look more like my dad :lol: not ideal for a girlie old bat :lol: :lol:

Sparrows may be entertaining but they eat runner bean flowers and arent scared of anything , not me not my :cat: and they laugh at bird scarers. give them birds an ASBO and send them on a scheme {in next doors garden :lol: ]
