Re: DIY lecky

Dave45 I will come back to this and add some info about using solar panels on canal boats and the few experiments I have done at home with small panels but I should be tidying up the back yard this very minute, back after hard labour. regards Tiggy.

Re: Is it possible to get rid of Celandines

How about glyphosate? to clear the area I would like to turn from a lawn into veg space.I would have just had a serious digging session but cant risk spreading celandines with the turf after it has rotted to compost.Pilewort, their common name is just about right ,they are a pain in the bum

Re: Where can I get wellies that fit ? !

I have big feet so never have this problem because only mens shoes fit me.I only buy cheapo wellies and turn the tops over Compo style but hardly ever wear them ,prefer rig boots most of the time

Re: Horseradish

It is a veggie thug, its making a bid for world domination from its Worcester HQ our local allotments.I expect you could get a root from either someone with an old established garden or from an allotmenteer as it grows OK from root cuttings.Just keep it in check as it has a good grip on life

Re: Chiii recipes please.

Thanks for the replies I will be trying out a few but not the dark chocolate I think because I like sour tastes. Used to dislike red kidney beans tinned with added sugar :pukeright: seems to be a nasty habit that has been dropped thank goodness.

Re: How do you unravel a jumper?

MW s advice is right,I just pulled down a lurid screaming red acrylic chunky cardigan I was given and am now looking out for some suitable dark chunky to knit up with it in thin stripes, hoping to tone down the red. This will then hopefully turn in to 2 work jumpers and keep me occupied while ignorin...
