would have been compost heap for me as well....mind you, i wont be growing kale in the 1st place.... :pukeright: i had an experience once back in NZ where we were out for a meal and i was served brocolli and on my last mouthful i noticed a perfectly boiled caterpillar with eyes just like this smilli...

24).....long winded i'm afraid......took a newborn baby for a walk....he was asleep so i had a look in a few shops. came across a couple and they oooh and arrrh'd over the baby, and asked the age (11days). the bloke(it has to be doesnt it :roll: ) said....'so his eyes arent open yet?' ......i said.....

what i failed to mention in my orginal post and i only realised as i looked at them the other day, is, i have 6 brown ones and 15 clear ones. so think i will keep 4 brown and 4-6 clear. that still halves the amount and gives me options for next year.

g'day Thisbe, from a kiwi living in London.

am off to Oz for a month at xmas time and will be investigating moving there with a view to becoming more self sufficiency as well!!.
