vet was here two days ago...thought maybe its the pain killers ...as i have just been out there and daisy has a touch of the runns, has been sick...and is now coughing.... am going to ring the vet again! seems never ending :(

She was limping badly after a few bouts with rita...so we seperated her in her own pen and called the vet who said its just badly bruised hip...gave her some pain killer a...

we hang cabbages or greens just a little high....they seem to love it! plus its funny ...love watching them jump, flap their wings, to reach them...they always manage to strip them bare ..leaving the stalks and core which the goats love too!!

we have a saanen and an angora goat...although both very loving and affectionate goats...they are both very different characters! daisy is the very gentle one(angora) Rita likes to have a cuddle but from me more than matt!! lol Hoping to get rita kidd soon...for the milk of course! So... wanted one ...

love pheasant either hung or not....and i know it sounds daft...but i put mine in a roasting tray....pour lemonade(yes i did say that) over it....couple of sprigs of lemon verbena...cover in foil and a slow roast....baisting occasionally...hmmmm yummy!!

lol not got surplus yet!! but we dont use much milk and when rita is kidded am looking at (aprox)4-5 pints a day ish lol

have own homemade jam and wine but am sure there will be something we can do hehehe

i dont know about england, but it is illegal to sell milk straight from the goat in scotland! :cry: I have two goats and was worried about the surplus milk eventually! but there is nothing in the scottish law to say you cant swap it for something else....would England be the same i wonder?

thanks mauzi.....it seems that everytime daisy is near me or matt that rita decides to attack her. We are making sure that daisy gets some of the food too although again rita doesnt like it when that happens too! :roll: :shock: Thinking of building daisy her own pen next to rita's that way they will...
