Hi Reefskin, We have about 8 plots available on our site. Great club house, special needs toilet. All behind locked gates! I was lucky they received a grant to clear three plots. The link below is the start of my organic allotment. http://allotments.wetpaint.com:80/ In Chadwell heath, Romford, Essex...

Poly Tunnel
What are the pros & cons of a poly tunnel on the allotment?
The one I am looking at is a 12 by 20 foot £400.00!
Is the better growing environment in the poly tunnel worth the money?
Thanks
Steve.
Essex.

Take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Relief! They are going to clear the site for me mid October! They dig down 2 foot with a mechanical digger, so most of the root will be removed as well.

Just put some pictures on a site if you want to see the Cray fish being cooked and peeled? Ready for a stir-fry.

I had a valiant gas combination boiler five years old and my gas bill was still £100 a month, without the recent gas price increases. With me burning wood and some coal my monthly energy charge is about £25 a month. But I do get most of my wood free, which helps. I think these new condensing g...

Hi Funkypixie. I put a back boiler in my house, which is like an open fire and it will run my radiators and hot water. A good quality wood burning stove will be cheaper to run. But it depends on the shape of your chimney breast and how much mess you want? I don't think you can beat the look of a rea...

Is there an alternative route to energy independence? 04.09.2006ld surf our way to energy independence? Complete freedom from fossil fuels is a pipe dream - for the next few decades, anyway.
