Hummus definitely - 300 calories a pot but I can polish the whole thing off with a packet of pitta bread in about ten minutes!

Merry Christmas everyone - funnily enough we are having our leftover pork and cranberry stuffing tonight - it is still in the freezer in a sort of loaf shaped tin, so I plan to bake it in the oven and slice it like a meat loaf with cabbage, spuds and gravy!

Sticky pork skewers for us tonight with possibly salad and some kind of rice with nice bits in it. We don't usually have meat two days in a row but it's been quite a veggie/fishy week so far, so I don't feel too bad.

Ooh Almond Crusted Cod, sounds lush. And 'clean'.

I have a beef casserole in the slow cooker with all of the odds and sods vegetables curling up in the fridge and half a bottle of red wine (I think the alcohol will cook off by the time I eat it). Served with mustard mash...mmmm...

Going to bump start this old thread with the ground-breaking news that as my husband is abandoning me for the cinema tonight, I will be having a jacket potato, tuna mayo and some salady bits.

That is a dubious honour Weedo! Hehe. I like the fact that our growing seasons are at the same time of year, even though yours is over winter while ours is over summer. I am sure once the growing season gets kicked off in earnest and the sap is risen we will all perk up a bit. I feel the same way - ...

I know, it is quiet isn't it? I have been racking my brains for something new to post but I haven't been doing anything very interesting apart from tidying up and sloshing mud about in my garden!

Have been sowing though, perhaps I will start a sowing thread.

Am I being unrealistic at having a full on veggie garden and having a new baby at the same time? In my mind I will be wafting around with a baby sling and a trug and keeping on top of things....

Yes, thanks Tony, good point - must remember to plant in order of harvest so I don't end up with first earlies bang smack in the middle!

I think these restrictions are lifted now aren't they? Last time I checked the DEFRA website (which was last week) it was 28th February.
