Re: Shooters can't shoot if they have nothing to shoot with

But is it a genuine concern? Apart from security staff and police I've not seen anyone obviously carrying a gun in the US. So if people are worried why aren't they carrying guns. If they are and the guns are concealed then they won't be much use if you're suddenly confronted by a "bad guy"...

Re: Shooters can't shoot if they have nothing to shoot with

making firearms illegal is a GREAT idea. Criminals everywhere will love you. Law abiding folks (like those stupid enough to hand in arms if such a law was passed) are then powerless against those that ignore such laws. Check out the crime stats on somewhere like Detroit and the lists of crime that c...

Re: Elderberry galore

PET is more permeable (for oxygen) than is glass - but that doesn't mean a lot in terms of bottling wine. Glass will keep oxygen out of wine for forty or fifty years, but there are very few wines which you'd want to drink at that age for reasons other than oxidisation. I'll go out on a bit of a lim...

Re: Hens not wanting to come out of coop

here in New Zealand we have large aggressive birds like magpies that are known to harass chooks at times. To the point that they will not leave their pen. do you perhaps have something similar? Rooks maybe?

Re: Elderberry galore

You would only need 2kg(ish) of strigged elderberries per gallon of wine unless you are planning on a 4-5 year storage to let it mature - a black bin bag full is likely to be a bit much, even across 4 gallons you may want to blend with a less full bodied wine before bottling to make it drinkable soo...

Chance would be a fine thing. If I don't switch the laptop off by 9 then I'll just fall asleep over it. If I switch it off and put it away then I just fall asleep in front of the TV instead. Whichever way, I'm asleep by 9. Zoe Zoe I am jelous beyond all belief. Dont matter what i read - eletric or ...

Re: What to ask for for my birthday

All good sugestions, i would add a hand mincer (unless you're veggie) and or a good pressure cooker - save energy and great for pulses - combine it with a hay box type setup and you're rock and roll!

Who binges on asparagus? Well, me, TBH. Or, I don't really binge on anything, but I can put away quite a bit. In fact we might have a bit left in the fridge {slopes off, shifty-eyed}. I love asparagus. I too resemble this remark, (at least whenever someone else is buying the stuff! Damn expensive)
