thank you all i had heard of the boiler exploding, so thanks zoe for letting me know how NOT to make it explode. we will get it connected to a water tank and some radiators for next winter we hope, its just not easy in rural portugal to find the water tanks and radiators, at least we can fill it wit...

thanks to oldjerry we now have our rayburn royal in place and all our fingers and toes still! however now we need help, as apparently we cant run it without having the back boiler, which is part of the rayburn, connected to something to divert the hot water it produces.. is this true? or can we run ...

however all the ones that we can find slow down the wind turbine and then stop it once the batteries are fully charged

this will be impossible with our home made turbine

charge controller for wind turbine

we are making a wind turbine and need to buy a charge controller that stops the batteries from overcharging with a dump load facility

all the ones we can find are related to bought wind turbines and they cant be used on home made turbines

can anyone help?

generator as back up for solar power

i need to buy a new generator, and am having solar power put in too. i want the generaot to start automatically once the battery power from the solar power fails. do i need a special generator or just a special switch, and would the special switch work with any generator?

thank you both and thank goodness the turkey cant read! so she may live for another year, or we ration the turkey slices to half a slice each person, but when the time comes i now at least know how to kill her and how to make her look like she should before she is cooked have a very merry Christmas ...

i have a turkey, which is supposed to be for christmas however 1 how do you judge how much the turkey weighs less its feathers/head/feet and other bits i dont want to eat? 2 if its too small will it be ok for next christmas, or will it be too old and tough? 3 if its big enough whats the best/easiest...
