I used my windowledge in the office last year and it was successful plus it was a great talking point with my colleagues. loads of people came along and said i remember my grandad growing tomatoes...

I had mine in black bags for 2 years and they didn't decompose, but the pile by the fence that's been open to the elements since last autumn has started rotting down well, so I added the 2 yo contents of the black bags to that, i'm not convinced plastic bags are required at all...

Hello all, I have a tree root in my garden which each year grows large white mushrooms. I'm not sure what they are and I just let them do their own thing. but it got me thinking, would it be possible to intentionally "sow" other desirable and edible mushrooms in the same location? eg chant...

Its wonderful Odsox! we had a downpour last night and more promised tonight/tomorrow. We're on a private water supply which has been fine so far but I'll be glad to have the rain...

I'm growing too! but with the weather my stuff is far behind others'... I won't be self sufficient but at least I'll have treats directs from the garden. hoping to put in a strawberry bed this weekend, late I know but better late than never.

phone my partner and make sure that we spent the last 3 days together enjoying ourselves, go fishing, spend time together, go away into the hills, away from other people, eat well and treasure the last few days.

I planted mine yesterday along with doing a whole lot of other jobs in the sunshine, I know we're due some more snow but i'm hoping it won't last and they'll be ok....

Brisket slow cooked with apricots and tomatoes served with veggies also low carb (only a small handful of apricots in a large recipe) but still a sure fire winner with the other half.
