Cut flowers (for home or sale)

Flowers attract a lot of beneficials to your plot. Useful gifts. Nice air freshener and just generally nice in t...

Thanks everybody for the welcomes. There are lots of pitfalls with growing anything for sale but I would still recommend flowers. Am working on some articles about it now. My experiences are really a comedy of errors. I fell into a deep pit of toilet roll tubes (eco flowerpots) and almost drowned in...

Hello from a newby... I have a couple of very old gardening books from my granddad which cover this topic in detail. The basic ingredients recommended are equal quantities of horse manure and dead leaves. If there are trees near you then you could collect the leaves in carrier bags, not heavy. Appar...

Friend of mine has a small press fiction magazine and as there is little advertising revenue and getting subscriptions is also hard he raises revenue by running competitions. If you could get donated prizes for comps then the entry fees could help fund the magazine.

I'd love to buy this.

hello to both of you and thanks for the welcome :flower: I've only ever sold jam from my food crops, didn't make much from that really - apart from a big mess in the kitchen. Flowers and plants are my thing. The hardest work and least lucrative were bedding plants (marigolds, petunias, geraniums etc...

hello

Love this website and especially the 'ish' element. Over a few years I've dipped my toes into the self sufficiency waters a few times, mainly because i hate the obscene waste in modern life and love growing. I've also sold produce with some success but lots of difficulty too. It is a neat way (when ...
