Thank you :flower: I'll give it a go, although I must admit that my logic was 'grow mange tout to cut out the whole shelling thing'.

After following some advice in a wonderful garden book I planted them 5cm apart in a long row and am growing them up a net. I decided to soak them overnight first. This accelerated the germination process. Soaking them fo...

Re: going to seed too early?

That's an interesting thought. I did wonder if the heat had anything to do with it. I am wondering if I re-seed if the same will happen. I'm trying anyway :flower:

going to seed too early?

Hi all :flower: Can anyone shine a little light for me please? I planted mizuna, rocket, mustard greens in March/April and they all went to seed as soon as they'd grown. Last year I had a collosal supply of mizuna and mustard for months long! I'd love to hear any tips and insight as to why these are...

Hi Paulina,

I was looking at your website last year and am really impressed. We'd like to build a natural round meditation studio in our back garden so I am very keen to learn more! I hope you stick around :flower:

What an interesting thread. Bringing back some old memories here. I was given quite a lot of chores and responsibility as a youngster and am quite thankful for it now... my Mum was "Mrs Resourceful" and as I grew independent I realised how much I had learnt from her without realising it. T...

Have searched and can't seem to find their current details. Sound like a little gem of a service. Anyone have their mail order details?

Thanks Ina

Upon further looking Fergus has a website...

I don't listen to the radio or have a t.v. so I am often missing out on these little things.

Hi Ina,

Do you know where the original article or link is please?

Joking aside (thanks for the entertainment guys), sorry to be boring, but I'd really love to read/hear more about this.

Heartfelt thanks

I thought that it may take quite a huge quantity... I do know people with land who'd be happy to put it to this type of use. I guess it will be a case of trial and error.

Thanks for the input :flower:

I'm a huge nettle fan and haven't really had any problems. If I pick them anywhere other than our own bit of land I just don't pick the ones next to the ground by the paths. I always need to eat so little when eating nettles as I feel full to the brim so quickly. I suspect that it has something to d...

Is this growing sunflower seeds for food unheard of so far in the UK?

I'm looking to only consume that which can be grown in my local area...

Will keep looking
