Peer pressure is a very strong force and it seems little can be done to overcome it. My son was a really good, confident rider. Showjumping at an early age and thoroughly enjoying his ponies . Until he reached the age of 12/13 when his schoolfrinds started taking the p*** because he was out riding r...

If you add a tablespoon of tomato juice to your lady dog's food every day it stops the dead patches of grass. I once heard it as a snippit on the radio and tried it. I don't know why it works but it does seem to. Never had a male dog so I can't comment on the effect on him. It was traditional in the...

I did it one year by placing them on the surface and then covering in black plastic then cutting holes for the shoots to come through as they pushed the membrane up.
I did get a crop but it was nothing like the crops that I used to get by more traditional methods.

I have only just started using them, so can't comment yet on how well they compost but the caddy bin liners that I have are said to be made of cornstarch. I would be interested to learn more if anyone has more experience of them

If the neutraliser is salt, it wouldn't do a septic tank much good. I have been told that the salt in dishwasher tablets can be harmful to the bacteria in a tank.

I do recall someone - Alan Titchmarsh?? saying "if its big and black, put it back" as the huge fat black ones eat all the smaller ones that do the damage. Don't really have much faith in it

It looks to have floorboards

Do they go under the raised beds or just between them?

It has certainly given me something to aim for when I get my tunnel back up and in service again.

The other thing to bear in mind is that if my dogs reaction to babies nappies is anything to go by, dogs love human poo. If you have a dog you might have to fence it out of the area.
