Hello and welcome,
I wish I could knit! Sadly one of those things that just doesn't work for me.

Re: Hello from Huntly, Aberdeenshire
Hi Colin!
I grew up near Huntly! Where about are you?
I am not much of a gardener either, and sadly I live in the big city at the moment, but I like to dream! Good luck in all your endeavours.

Re: I love a bargain, what did you buy today??
After being informed at short notice by my utterly disorganised other half that we have a wedding reception tomorrow I realised that I haven't worn a suit in 5 years and I am way to thin for the one I have! Thankfully the local charity shop across the road had one that fits my skin and bones, and it...

Re: Home Schooling
I was home schooled for my whole childhood. While I can't say it was perfect, and I certainly had a hard time in my early teens trying to work out bloody social etiquette I would say it was fantastic for me and my two sisters. While we can all three be loud and overbearing with the best of them I th...

Re: What are you reading?
after much insistence from my sister ive just started reading The Hobbit while i await the next book in the song of fire and ice series ( aka game of thrones) I've been working through the Song of Ice and Fire at the behest of my other half; she knows me well, I enjoy them! I am currently reading E...

Re: Seats reserved exclusively for men in the House of Lords
Leaving the disturbing gender imbalance this helps to perpetuate to one side for now and with the caveat that I totally disagree with the idea of an unelected second chamber I have to pick up on something here. I have nothing against those with religious beliefs being involved in the political syste...

I'm one of those weird fellows who likes the cold and wet. But I like the idea of time going on, so here's to the shortest day!

Re: MUSIC!
I feel like I should ask permission before I post most of the stuff I like on here. Tends to be very "niche" heavy metal and it might frighten any cats/kids/parents who're near the computer.
That's fair warning, should I proceed?

Limiting internet
Nope, not for kids! For me! Having been homeless for a good few weeks I am about to move into a new flat. I still have my job thankfully, and can resume normal service. I'll be living alone again, after a few years with flatmates and thus can chose my own level of internet. I've been looking into a ...

Re: Question about the use of the word "upcycled"
Just be honest about what part comes from where in the description. I always respect that more from sellers than trying to make something sound like something it isn't (and I have no idea about the use of the word!)
Hope that kinda helps.

I can't really help there, not only do I keep mine fully visible, I also can't replicated the problem at this end!
Good luck!
